Our Story

Pelloma Nigerian Cuisine (PNC) emerged in 2020 out of over 35 years of kitchen experience. It all began from my home in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. From an early age cooking was assigned to me as a chore to make meals for the family on a daily basis. It would turn into a passion of mine, growing furthermore after my arrival to Boston. I started to gain recognition for my cooking from friends and family whenever I would host them. Soon my children and I were catering for gatherings and events out of our home kitchen. With the help of my nuclear family we started this 15 years ago & slowly built Pelloma from the ground up. To this day, my family (myself, husband, my mother & our four children) gather around the table, discuss the next level we would like to take the cooking passion to. This family’s combined efforts & love led to the birth of Pelloma Cuisine in 2020.

Location

We are located in the historically loaded town of Mattapan, Boston. The dining space comfortably seats 20 individuals. We display some of our home's historical culture through handmade bronze cast artwork, referring to the frames hung up throughout the dining room, along with Nigerian flags throughout the space.

Our goal

Pelloma's mission is to introduce Boston & the surrounding area to cultural and authentic Nigerian/West African flavors. In combination with a state of the art industrial kitchen, we create flavorful and mouth watering dishes. Pelloma continues to strive for excellence from prepping to serving and to make your dining experience a truly enjoyable experience. 

Personalized Group Dining

Pelloma is the ideal venue to host your event for any small event. We can customize the dining room to suit your occasion and can adjust the menu to make your celebration a worthwhile experience. We require a week in advance for group reservation and 72 hour reservation cancellation policy. 

Events/Parties

Pelloma Nigerian Cuisine can help coordinate dining at your events, whether it's anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, etc, regardless of the party size. We can help share your burden. We also can connect you with some of our renowned vendors for other event or party services as needed. 

Our menu

The ingredients for Pelloma’s famous soups and many other dishes are sourced from our motherland of Nigeria.

The ingredients are organically grown on farms and naturally preserved by sun drying; we get our beef, goat & other meat products from the farm..

We stock both American and West Afrocan drinks, with a wide assortment.
